French Jazz, Jazz Manouche or
Gypsy Jazz-- call it what you like-- became popular in the late 20's and
30's thanks to the work of Belgian jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt and
French jazz violinist Stéphane Grappelli. Their style and this tradition
of acoustic jazz have been maintained and appreciated by jazz musicians
throughout the years. We are a small group of enthusiasts dedicated to this music as it was
played at that time, and as it has evolved to the lively gypsy jazz of
today. Welcome to our web site! |
